Sam Santiago is a twenty year old singing sensation from Irvine, California, who has been singing since the age of two and began professional vocal training at the tender age of Six.
Sam has amazed audiences both large and small over the past nine years especially after his music video of him singing “How Great Thou Art” went viral on the web. Sam has also made appearances for both professional basketball and baseball teams in the Los Angeles area as well as appearing on television and being featured on Radio.
Since early kindergarten Sam has always had a desire to showcase his God given musical talent. In early grade school when Sam was asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, Sam’s answer was simple, “a rock-star, and a pastor”.
Sam performed his first public mini concert in Haven/DSWD Arayat Pampanga Philippines (a government facility for abused children), on his 8th birthday while visiting with family in the Philippines. Sam thought of a better way to celebrate his birthday through feeding and entertaining these less fortunate children.
Sam’s television appearances include WZZM TV 13 Grand Rapids, Michigan in the summer of 2011 for the “Take Five Program “and two appearances on KSCI-TV LA 18 in 2012 . The host of Kababayan LA,Jannelle So, was so impressed with Sam’s first appearance, that she invited him back for a longer segment to feature songs from his recently released debut CD.
In August of 2012 Sam performed in the White Party talent and fashion show and was a featured singer for the UPLC at two major events, Araw ng Kalayaan Independence Day (June 12th) and Jose P. Rizal Monument Movement (Sept 29th).
That same year Sam partnered with Gawad Kalinga in a combined effort to aid the Philippines after the huge Tsunami’s devastated the country leaving many homeless and without food and shelter.
In 2013 Sam was invited to appear on NBC’ Universal’s The Maury Show where he appeared on Maury’s once a year segment called Maury’s Most Talented Kids. His video of that performance can be found here and on Sam’s YouTube Channel.
In 2014 Sam participated in two projects with Three Angels Broadcasting located in southern Il working with some of the best professionals in the television and recording industry. Last fall Sam released a new Music DVD utilizing some of the special inspirational numbers he performed for those projects.
2015 marked a banner year for Sam for live concerts. Sam held 3 concerts in and around his stomping grounds in California, his largest being held in Irvine in a 600 seat packed out auditorium. Sam danced, sang, and performed to the delight of his audience and many fans.
This past year Sam did a lot of traveling for various events his largest and longest trip being to the Philippines to headline in a CONCERT FOR MEDICAL MISSIONS sponsored by the UPLC of CA. (Sam received an award for that participation which can be seen on the home page.) Also while in the Philippines, Sam was invited to interview and perform for 3 different Radio/Television stations and visited his friends at GMA studios as well as making himself available to visit with the Governor one afternoon.
Sam continues to perform almost every weekend for private events such as birthday parties and weddings and sings often for a number of churches and church events in the Los Angeles area. He is the youngest member of the UPLC, (United Pampanga Leaders Council) actively performing for many of their events including a recent Medical Mission held in the Philippines just this past fall.
Sam is active in his own church called “Saddleback Church” being one of the youngest to ever be accepted into the adult Praise and Worship Team and is also active in his Church Youth Group.
Sam is very thankful to his family and supporters for all their wonderful support and help and prays that his music will not only entertain, inspire and uplift, but minister to the world.
